For my niece, Andrea, as she starts life after high school

Believe.
All is possible.

What you want is possible.
Not just the practical, but your deep-down dreams are possible.
(Believe me, this is not hollow cliché. This is phosphorescent fact.)

Believe in your value.
Believe that treating yourself like a precious object will make you strong.
Believe your body loves you and wants you to be healthy, wants to help you live every dream.

Believe you are not alone, not even in loneliness.
Believe there are people to love everywhere.
Believe there are people with kindness everywhere, ready to help.
Believe in being thankful.

Believe your instincts.
Believe you deserve to be treated well. Believe in boundaries.
Believe you can decide who gets your trust, your time, your heart.

Believe in your attention, most precious resource.
Believe that you decide your happiness by where you give attention: negative or positive, digital or dimensional, screen-life or real.
Believe you can change the mood of any day by changing where you give attention.

Believe life will kick your butt, and there are two ways to respond:
have courage and carry forward.
Believe you can carry forward, no matter.

Believe your choices govern what you’ll get.
Believe you have the power to make a change. Believe it’s never too late.

Believe your dreams can come true, but only with your cooperation.
Believe you must do your work, and keep doing your work.
Your work is to try and learn and grow, try and learn and grow, wash, rinse, REPEAT.

Believe in the daily-ness of life.
Learn what you need from a day, what to discard.
Strive for a life where each day has what you need to be well and do good.
Believe the quality of days define the quality of life.

Believe money doesn’t matter as much as people think, but it matters some.
Believe in educating yourself.
Believe in savings over stuff. Saving mean options and freedom.

Believe the world has plenty for you when you do your work and open yourself to receive.

Believe your satisfaction will be as high as the standards you set for yourself.
Believe everything worth-it is a byproduct of practice and process.
Believe: there is no final point of arrival.

Believe art is sacred.
Believe your creativity is a gift you must share.

Believe in uncertainty, the only reality.
(Just don’t let it mean doubt, the only poison.)

Believe me, you will not know, no one does.
But you can believe.
Maybe this is preparation.
Maybe this will work out.
Maybe you can get through.

Believe, believe.
Practice belief like breath.
Believe, believe.

Over and over, believe.
