This was a stranger-than-strange week. As I’m sure you know, the United States Capitol was attacked, overrun, and trashed by Trump supporters while Congress was in session certifying the Electoral…

Why I will NEVER vote for Keir Starmer.

The new normal is frankly horrible. It doesn’t take a lunatic waving a 5G causes COVID sign to tell us that. It’s uncomfortable. We live with it because it keeps us safe from Mankind’s principal enemy — viruses (Specifically coronavirus). But it’s not only coronavirus shaking our world. To quote Artyom Lukin (professor of international relations in Vladivostok) “Humanity is in for an extremely rough ride that could last for at least a decade”. We live in fractured societies and on the precipice of dangerous conflicts across the globe — just a few examples being China and India, China and the US, Turkey and Greece etc. We also have anger and discontent with leadership spreading around the world: People have had enough of racism, xenophobia and being used as pawns in the games of the ruling classes. Not to mention that we are staring down the barrel of the smoking gun that is species extinction, thanks to climate change.

You would expect in these times for the opposition to providing real counter-arguments to the ruling party. But rather than pushing back against looming global conflicts and death, Starmer seems to be reaching towards them further. Like the backbench tories, he seems to lust after a conflict with China (a nation which could slaughter the UK economy even more than COVID and no deal have/will) even more than the government. Boris Johnson said he doesn’t want to be a “knee jerk Sinophobe” — but Keir Starmer seems to have no problem being so. Starmer also it seems loves a little bear-baiting, just like everyone favourite creepy grandpa, Joe Biden. Despite the fact that the Russia report merely stated that the British state failed in its duty to even consider foreign interference, Starmer lept at the opportunity to demand harsher action on Russia. What harsher action? The relationship is already incredibly damaged. Why on earth would you describe peaceful co-existence as naive, and act as if aggression is the only way to survive. I thought Tony Blair was an imperialist shit, but Starmer’s Neocon words make him look fluffy puppy. Stamer, like Biden, terrifies me. Just this week Biden explicitly stated he would consider cyber-attacking Russia if it interfered in US election (which of course he will say it did). This year Russia updated its nuclear policy to be in line with the US’s. It will launch nukes as a response to a cyberattack on “critical infrastructure”. Biden is literally playing with fire — and from what Starmer has said I’m pretty sure he’d support that choice.

Not to mention Starmer’s totalitarian attitude. He refused to properly back BLM, instead arguing that keeping the peace was important. Perhaps worse he refused to condemn literal fucking n*zis doing salutes in central London until way after the event, instead leaving it to Angela Rayner to push out a lukewarm condemnation for him. I’d argue one of the scariest things I’ve seen him say was an insight into his totalitarianism. In the wake of the Russia report, he asked the prime minister if TV stations and apps spreading “Russian disinformation” like RT and Sputnik should be shut down. It is said that a free society has a free media. If we don’t have the freedom to choose our own media sources we are not free to make informed decisions. If you cannot hear both sides of the story you become little more than a brainwashed husk, following the line pushed down on you via obedient media companies. Of course, Russian media isn’t always correct or unbiased, but you’d be drowning in stupidity if you failed to see that British media is the same. Both lie to you to project what the rulers of respective countries see as their priority. To ban foreign media at all would mark the end of the free press for good, as dissenting voices would die — and dangerous foreign policy positions become accepted by the masses.

It is for these reasons I will NEVER vote for Starmer, or Labour while he rules it, and to a similar point, I would never vote for Joe Biden. They fail to condemn racists, they fail to stand up for the vulnerable, they fail to stand for proper climate justice; and they are both massive neoconservatives, with insatiable lusts for war.

To vote for Starmer (or Biden if I was American) would violate every principle in my body. Why we give ourselves “lesser of two evils” as most of our democratic choices I will never know. Tories can get tae fuck, and Lib Dems can get in the bin — But I will not put even an ounce of my effort, my energy, or my vote into New Labour 2.0.

Have we learnt nothing?
