Living in Anxiety

Living with anxiety is something I never imagined before.

I never thought that I would encounter a phase where I live but don’t feel alive.

Since three years ago, I have never felt alive; I feel like I’m just living life without knowing what it feels like to live in full control.

I feel like a tall, creepy fortress surrounds me — My breath feels heavy as if all my fears are always accompanying me.

I never feel rested. I am always filled with fear that I don’t even know what it is all about.

I always feel frightened.

I feel like I am trapped in a dark, scary shaft.

I don’t know where I am. I don’t know what I am doing. I don’t know what I am thinking. I don’t know what I am. I don’t know.

My breath always feels heavy, very heavy.

I’m scared.

I don’t know what caused it, but I’m startled.

I’m scared.

I want to break free from this fortress and breathe fresh air, but how?

How can I get out of this darkness? How can I breathe easily?

I don’t think I’m alive, or am I?

Either way, I’m scared.

I am scared.
