The troll

Once in the deepest darkest corners of a dense forest lived a huge troll. He was 15 ft tall with a huge set of sharp pointed teeth. He had huge bulding eyes and a terrible smile. His hands were as big as a bear’s and is feet as huge as an elephant’s. The troll lived in a rock cave near the apple tree.

He did not remember how he got there, he did not remember his father or his mother. He did not remember if he had a brother or a sister. All he knew was that he always had lived this way, alone in the cave by the apple tree.

Everyday he would wake up at dawn with the first rays of the sun and begin his hunt for food. He often ate the animals that lived in the forest. He would strangle and kill lions, deers,tigers,gazelles and sometimes even an elephant.

After his huge meal he would walk towards the river and drink the fresh water. Once his thirst was quenched he would walk in the forest,he was not afraid of any animal in the forest. If he was attached by any animal he would tear them apart with his hands. Sometimes he would lie in the forest and stare at the clouds passing by. He never wondered what they were or why they moved in the blue sky.

Once the sun began to set he would return to his cave by the apple tree and sleep.

He spent his days, months, years in the same way.

It is known the trolls live for thousands of years. It has not been documented by humans because no human has seen a troll. But even if we could as a troll how long it has lived, I don’t think it would be able to tell us because trolls are very forgetful creatures.

The troll had never wondered beyond his way of life. He did not know or understand the world around him and he never gave it a thought. He lived a content life, eating,drinking,walking and sleeping. Everyday was a new day for the troll because he never remembered the previous day. This is how the troll spent his years in the forest living in the rock cave by the apple tree.
