9/30 Salfelder

I really like when the piece comes to a peak that everyone put a lot of energy into it. Compare to the peak part, I think we all need to work on the transition part especially brass. The brass might need to put more emotion on the transition part, because I feel like the transition is a little “lazy” and laid off, which I believe it should be more concentrated. Also, I feel like we all need to work on listening to the other instrument more rather than just playing good on ourself’s part. The most important, we should be confident with every note that we are playing. Flute need to work on the beat (play together). The rehearsal did help us get a lot better overall.

9/30 Nelson

This piece is more concentrated. Perhaps it is easier to play, but the repeating over the whole piece is consuming our focus. Work with metronome help bettering the quality of the piece, however, we have to keep a metronome in our head for this piece.

9/30 Ticheli

I really like this piece and I feel like everyone does the same, because I can hear it from the performance. For the long notes, keep them in tone and not over blowed. Need to be carful for the first accented note in a phrase that needs to be played together.
