6 Ways To Stay Productive on the Road as An Entrepreneur

So you might be focused to purchase a good laptop or maybe a Macbook, but believe me, a good phone is all you need. Be it banking related problems or online meetings through Skype almost everything can be done through your phone. So now whenever you are purchasing a new phone go through all features carefully, storage, RAM, camera prioritize your needs and choose from all the available options.

So when you are on road there are tasks that you need to leave to your team. You can’t be everywhere solving every problem and cracking every deal. So, when you are not on the road, invest your time in training them so that it could give beneficial results to you later. Don’t shout them at their mistakes but teach them well, because here is the thing if you be impatient with them they would always wait for your approval to proceed and it could slow down some process.

Sometimes your flight gets delayed and you end up having a lot of free time. So be ready, make a task list and start working. But be careful these are the times when you are not 100% focused so take some less important or easy task. Like replying to all emails, or taking updates from your team it could be anything but the thing is you should have a list of these tasks.

We always have some of our favorite things in our mind that we want to do. Like reading your favorite novel, watching the next episode of Game of Thrones before anyone gives the spoiler or re-watching the favorite F.R.I.E.N.D.S episode or even writing your next blog. When you are on the flight or on a train with no network it’s the best time to use it as a ‘Me time’. But remember to save it offline.

There are times when you are traveling with your team. And as an entrepreneur, you are usually busy with so many things that you don’t consider talking to your team apart from the meeting or a business deal, but you can use this time to talk. To ask them how they are doing? Are they happy with the work or how are things at their place? You know you are ideal for them and spending quality time with them can create a great impact on their life plus on your business.

This could not be a right tip to stay productive on the road but believe me it’s definitely the best tip to stay healthy on the road and even afterward. There are some people who like eating a lot while traveling or just can’t say no to free breakfast/lunch/dinner at the flight but a free meal can sometimes cost you a lot. So just watch what you are eating and if it suits your stomach. Drink a lot of water, airports washrooms are quite cool actually 😛

So guys, in the end, I just want to say don’t worry too much. You are productive all the time so while traveling take some time for yourself too. Just watch the clouds or count the trees whatever mode you are using at least spare some time for yourself and your mental health. But you can’t do this all the time so if you are a frequent traveler then follow these steps to stay productive. And stay happy, stay healthy. Happy traveling J
