Rain

Rain you say? Well whats so special about rain? Isn’t it the same measly old thing we all have seen and experienced? Haven’t we all been irritated by it at some point of our lives? Like who wants to wear raincoats and carry umbrellas and spoil our whole outfit right?

But the thing we all miss out about rain is the meaning behind it. Have you ever thought about rain on a deeper level? I mean rain affects out psychology. Yeah its that deep. Some people feel peaceful when it rains, some feel lazy, some excited, some romantic and some depressed. Ironic isn't it? So shouldn't you think about rain on a deeper level too?

Imagine yourself standing in the middle of an empty road leading to nowhere, both sides of the road lined with forests, the sky is dark and stormy, and its pouring. You are just standing there drenching your mind, body and soul in that sweet sweet scotch mist. All your worries, anxiety, fears, happiness, tears, memories, all of them just washing away. You are numb, yet you are free. You feel exhausted, yet it is exhilarating. You are drowning, yet it feels like you are flying. You are in the middle of nowhere but yet it feels like you are in your own little universe. You are intoxicated but you have never been more aware of your existence. You feel like you are nothing in this vast universe and yet you feel more powerful than ever. An occasional thunder brings you out of your trance but yet you can’t escape it completely. You are still just standing there. Just standing still.

Nothing can touch you anymore. Not the fears of the forest, not the anxiety of being stranded in the middle of nowhere, not the risk of being struck by lightning, not the severe cold crawling in your veins. You are just numb. The reality can’t trap you anymore. And hence you are free.
