I can guess how it feels when you are excited about your work and all the things you are supposed to do. All of a sudden, it hits you. You try to work, you try to write a couple of sentences but you just don’t seem to get into the flow where space and time don’t matter anymore and everything turns out almost perfect.

There are a few tips that I want you to know, if you already don’t, to get into that magical period of time.

If you are the type of person who gets inspired more when listening to relaxing music, then I definitely encourage you to put music whenever you decide to work.

It will help you easily detach from wherever you are without even trying once you get to work.

Personally, music inspires me more than anything. I don’t even feel how the music ends once I start to write. Usually, I put some long videos which combine many songs. It allows me to write consistently and do not get out of the flow every time a song ends.

How you ever worked in a coffee shop filled with people, noise, and music and you somehow managed to be productive? Because the distractions don’t depend necessarily on the environment, but on the stimuli. Something that can easily make us lose our focus is usually a movement or any kind of motion.

So choose an environment that possibly has fewer stimuli. If it can’t be your home, you can still opt for a cozy cafe where everyone just doing their business and no one bothers anyone.

If you choose to stay at home, make sure no one disturbs you. You don’t have to be rude. You can declare your working schedule to your family members or roommates so they won’t break your flow during those hours.
