A Story About Lost Love

Blood is thicker than water

Tomorrow I may never see
what lies between him and me
surely I want to know
and in a moment I would go.

If everything was just so simple
but we live in a world where hardship is tripled.
If I was just alone with him — easy everything would seem.
But we live in a world full of people,
it can never be confined to just Me.

These people are no ordinary beings,
these people have special meaning.
See how hard my life can be
to have to decide over who it would be.

I picked what’s best,
thinking maybe I can trick my heart
to forget about the rest.
Yet he circles around my head,
making him so hard to forget.

There’s not a day I don't imagine
my life with him —
his dimples, his laugh,
just a glimpse of his smile.

My heart cries out loud
but my brain is too proud,
a great wall that helps me reason out.

I’m afraid…
tomorrow I may never see.
But I can’t go back now,
only time will reveal.
